Description
I wanted to take just a short break from commissions today, so I decided to color RD's family tree

First of all, Azureverse Dumbbell isn't 100% like the canon dumbbell. Rainbow Dash and Dumbbell knew each other while they were kids, but they don't meet again until around the time Rainbow Dash is at the Wonderbolt academy.

Instead of being a prick and a bully all his life and later becoming a weather pony as in the show, Dummbbell went under a lot of therapy during his early teens untill the recent years.

He learned how to deal with his feelings and emotions much better thus becoming a much better person to those around him. Thanks to that, he was able to work with issues he had such as ADHD and pursue a physical career (instead of letting his bad behaviour make him drop out of school so that later he becomes a weather pony)

Dumbbell becomes a physiotherapist and works for the Wonderbolts providing physical aide to the aerial athletes.

Rainbow Dash and Dumbbell's first re-encounter when Dash is going for a workout at the academy gym on her first days, only to find out her ex-colleague and bully is her personal trainer. It's somewhat of a bittersweet surprise to rainbow dash, she didn't expect to see him there, of all places, but Dummbbell seems unimpressed, as if he was already expecting that.

His first reaction is to apologize, he admits he was a real prick when they were younger and that he had done really bad things not only go her but Fluttershy too (he's even willing to go all the way to her so he can apologize). He has become a much better person now and much more understanding and empathetic, and deeply apologizes for the stupid things he has done in the past, and that he wants to make amends if she's willing to forgive him.

Rainbow Dash is speechless, that was the last reaction she was expecting from him. That itself was enough to somewhat convince Dash that something about him was different, but she wasn't buying it that easily.

Anyways, Dummbbell says that, it's probably not nearly enough to make up for everything he has done, but offers to buy her dinner, just as a friendly approach to make amends.

Anyways, Dummbbell always tries to be nice to her, they end up having lunch together and hanging out quite sometimes. they slowly grow closer and things kinda go from there.

can't say I didn't want to say Dumbbell probably liked Rainbow Dash ever since they were younger but didn't know how to deal with his feelings

Anyway, Dumbbell is a calm and cozy guy, although he does like to tease Rainbow Dash a bit once they grow closer. He's mostly a stay at home dad, he's a great cook and his hobby is baking (I totally could imagine him on a pink apron and be like "hey dash what's so funny?", tho RD would probably live off instant noodles if she didn't have him lol)

Anyway, they had three beautiful babbus which I'll just copy and paste their descriptions from the last post here lol

Raincloud Song: (previously named Raincould Storm): A very calm and confident mare in general, pursues a career in music and singing. She used to be a Wonderbolt trainee but left the academy due to some... Major issues. Although Rainy might look all serene, she is a HUGE flirt. She's a heartbreaker and flirts with pretty much everyone really, but mares are more to her tastes. She's been with so many ponies she might not even remember. Though she doesn't really date people seriously, most of her relationships are just flings to her, she doesn't like having any strings attached to anypony and whenever her partner gets their hopes up she usually "breaks up" with them shortly after. Wonder why.

Skychaser: (could be a placeholder name? Just overall fits his backstory very well but honestly, I was calling him seaboy) has been more enthusiastic and energetic in the past. He is very chill and friendly, but you can tell Sky has been through a lot in the past. He was a very energetic, outstanding and passionate flyer in the past and dreamed to become a wonderbolt, and honor his mother's legacy, but due to an unfortunate accident that led his wing to be amputated, Sky lost his wing, along with his aspirations, dreams and what seemed to be his entire life. He went through a long period of depression and could not leave the house of barely his room for a long time. But thanks to the help of some people he meets along his life, he will find a new passion in something else.

Ember Flare: Rainbow could definetely not blame her older children for not making to the wonderbolts, but she was still expecting a chance to get at least a more daredevil child at her last shot. Someone brave, fierce and fiery. Eventually, Ember Flare was born. Rainbow was expecting the name she gave her last kiddo to reflect her fiery personality. Well. Ember turned out to be a sweet, kind, well-manered and empathetic little girl, who very much enjoyed helping old ladies carry their groceries, feeding stray cats or helping a blind pony cross the street. She is a little-miss-perfect and a quick learner, and nails pretty much everything she attempts doing. Using that in her favour, Rainbow was kinda wrong for doing that, but pushed Ember a bit into joining the Wonderbolt Academy. Unfortunately, Ember has a bad habit of putting others first and ignoring her own feelings and desires, and submissively followed her mother's wishes, even if it meant making herself miserable. Rainbow is not aware of Ember's true feelings.
