Description A Shakespeare poster for a class project. We just needed to pick a play and run with it in poster form.

Had a lot of ideas, and funnily enough, this one kinda formed out of all my orignal ideas and kinda evolved into this.

Done in Photoshop CS3 and Corel Painter.

Aww thanks! I appreciate it! I'm actually working on patching this up a bit and making the second in the series, with Macbeth in the same way, I think, so they'll be separate, but her cloak flows into his...

Ooh, sounds good. I’m curious - what quote will you use? Because the ‘Innocent flower’ quote is my favourite of LadyM’s (was my school setwork last year ) - and it fits in very well with the way her gown/shadow turns all evil and jaggedy at the bottom.
So yeah, curiously awaiting your treatment of Macbeth himself now.

Ohhh hon, I am so sorry it took so long to reply! Everything got hectic crazy on me! I've been neglecting dA. >_<

I don't know what quote I'll use for his poster. I've not gotten a chance to start it yet...Do you have any opinions on what quotes to use for Macbeth? Truth be told, I've not read it in...4 years?! (Oh my time goes by fast...) If you've got anything in mind, let me know, for sure!

There's so many great ones, too!

"And all our yesterdays have lighted fools / The way to dusty death"

"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player / That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, / And then is heard no more. It is a tale / Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, / Signifying nothing."

"It will have blood; they say, blood will have blood: / Stones have been known to move and trees to speak."

And of course, a good ominous foreshadowing with "So foul and fair a day I have not seen." lol

Honestly. How could anyone not love Shakespeare?

Eh. Here I am thinking, I shall wait with replying until I have the perfect quote… and then this happens.
But I rather like these two suggestions of yours:
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player / That struts and frets his hour upon the stage, / And then is heard no more. It is a tale / Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, / Signifying nothing."

"It will have blood; they say, blood will have blood: / Stones have been known to move and trees to speak." <-- that one especially, and especially the first line. It sounds like a movie teaser like and it’s sure as heck fitting

And then there’s also the one I was trying to get the right wording of, where Macbeth basically paraphrases Lady McB’s line, something along the lines of ‘false face must hide what false heart must know’ or something along those lines. It’s been ages since I read up. Also, it will all depend on the actual picture, so I guess there’s plenty of room for different types of quotes.

That typography is fantastically disturbing. I love the emotionality of this piece. From top to bottom you have such a journey in this piece. Absolutely wonderful.
