Description
One of my best bird photos of 2012 that survived my summer computer crash. Despite being dead I though it was a really lovely bird.Related content

The second I saw this photo I could instantly relate. Every summer a crapload of birds crash into my garage windows, poor things

Aw man, it's a male common yellowthroat. Poor little thing. Probably went after the window because he saw his reflection in it.

what a lovely bird! i feel sorry for the poor thing. millions of birds die because of those pesky windows every year.

Awww. These guys run into my window all the time One was stunned for a while and sat on my finger looking around for about 15 minutes before flying.

It's really a pity when that happens. It's nice when they survive it.
I found another similar bird that looked stunned back in spring. It was even smaller than this one though, didn't even take up the entire palm of my hand. I picked it up and had it for about ten minutes before it took off. I had wished so much that I had taken my camera along that morning.

The one that I had was small too. My Dad was there and took some pictures with his phone before it took off. We seem to have issues with baby birds falling out of nests and birds running into windows at my house I think we've only had one death though
