Now you can clearly see why I've always stated that the Manga of KDZ is the ORIGINAL. Those who only watch the Anime would never learn of many important details revolving around the characters & the legend behind everything. Without the Manga, the Anime is simply a show for entertainment just like any other series nowadays.

Heh. I also have to tell you something:
Previously I liked the KDZ anime more than the manga, but now it's the other way around.

The manga has such depth! I never read such a deep manga before!
So many elements that never show up in the anime...  
I also finally can draw the line between the events from the anime, the manga and the games!  

It's so awesome!

Many KDZ fans used to tell me that, too, which I'm very glad since I managed to help them see KDZ in a different light.

KDZ is a very potential series, to be honest. Nevertheless, those who are fans of ZenxChi often unfavor it since the original Manga not only leads nowhere in ZenxChi but strongly suggests GoxChi & a much deeper, more interesting plot as well.

I still like both ships, even though I agree with you after everything you told and showed me about the series.  

Don't get me wrong:
I do understand that Zenki and Chiaki are more like a brother and a sister bickering and fighting than being an actual ship now.  

I also now get the part on the whole Goki and Chiaki thing as Akira/Goki is really awesome in saving Chiaki and the others no matter what!
It took me some time to fully digest it, but is now also very obvious to me that Akira and Chiaki have something for each other.

Please don't get mad at me about my old Zenki and Chiaki drawings.  
Those are from about a year and a half ago when I didn't know these things, but I still wanted to share them with the KDZ community.

I don't blame you. Lots of weird pairings exist in the cartoon world.  In KDZ case, it's even much easier to have a false impression since Zenki is the MOST MAIN Demon (the series is named after him, alright) while Chiaki is the main heroine and Goki doesn't make his debut until later. A similar case happens to other series such as "Naruto" starring trio NarutoxSakuraxSasuke & "Harry Potter" starring Harry-Hermione-Ron in which the fans used to ship Naruto x Sakura & Harry x Hermione, but in the end many of them was heart-broken b/c the heroine ended up with the main character's best friend -- Sasuke x Sakura & Ron x Hermione.

So, my advice is "Never go for the norm.". The main hero doesn't have to be perfect all the times and sometimes he doesn't even need to be paired up w anyone. Any kind of pairing is often used to 'spice up' the plot, but it would be a disaster if it includes too much OOCness (out-of-character-ness). Tell you what? Just b/c Goki is so PERFECT, many KDZ fans have to degrade him in many ways, like insulting his girly looks n gentle nature, or completely ignoring Zenki's faulty character so as to make Zenki x Chiaki more reasonable in fans' eyes, and often did they succeed.  By reading the note of this old-time KDZ Filipino fan, you'll get what I'm saying -- www.fanfiction.net/s/7369211/1… .

What a cute fan fic.  

Well, I went with Zenki and Chiaki because I hardly knew anything about Goki. But now everything is much clearer.
Heh, back in the beginning I didn't even know who Chiaki was and only knew about Zenki.

I can't wait to get to know more about the series, but sometimes I read to much information at once and get really tired.
Maybe I should slow down a bit and go about things at a more reasonable pace.

Well, I didn't have a chance to appreciate Ryuuen Kurai's KDZ fic until 2010 b/c KDZ at that time didn't even have their own category in Fanfiction.net.  "Wings" has inspired me a lot ever since that day b/c I know I'm not the only one fan of KDZ who manages to go pass the ZenxChi stereotypes to appreciate the bond between GoxChi. Her fanfic and especially her author's notes did bright tears to my eyes, you know?


I can't wait to get to know more about the series, but sometimes I read to much information at once and get really tired. I think I've fainted.

By the way, if you revisit fanfiction.net you will find a bunch of KDZ fics there (mine included). I strongly recommend you read chapter 11 and 12 of "El Legado", you would love things in store for our two demon gods. Believe me! The author's writing skill is worthy of admiration.
