Well, for the video games and Sonic X, I'd say she is. She lived in ancient times, and the fact that she appears as a floating red orb in Sonic Adventure 1 pretty much implies that we're seeing a ghost. It also explains just about everything else she does in that game; and it also explains why we never see her again in any of the main stories after Sonic Adventure 1.
Other universes, like the comics, might say otherwise. However, for the games, I think it's pretty clear. Not sure how everyone else keeps missing the obvious...

Nope. But its followed me for the last 4 years, I've tried ignoring it and telling it to go away, I've even told others and NOTHING works. No matter what i do, it just won't leave me alone. Im unsure of who it is too, and one of my biggest wishes is to find out who it is!

Ah. Well, I cannot help you. In some TV shows I've seen about this, usually the best thing is to wait until you're alone with the spirit, and then say out loud something like "Spirit that haunts this house, you are dead! You died a long time ago! Go to heaven! It's time to move on. Go to heaven!" And just repeat those last two sentences over a few times until you feel like the ghost have left. I mean, it helps if you know the name of the ghost instead of calling him/her 'Spirit that haunts this house', but hopefully that works. Other then that, I've got nothing.

I've done that. Im often alone with them. They even follow me out of the house. They follow me all the way to college and back everyday. Grossly, then even follow me to the toilet. Its everywhere i go, they follow. EVERYWHERE I GO. Its unbelievable
