A little play-around with another software I had it in my mind.I used to make plain frame-to-frame animation with GIMP. This was a hard work for only a blinking icon. So now I wanted to make something more complex (but it's still simple).
I know some tricks with the program After Effects from the university but I didn't use this program that often. I knew slightly the basics but I needed some help with some things. So the simply totally amazing turorial from DanSyron helped me how to start my animation. Setting the keyframes in some places I knew that from uni
So I needed to know how to start off and how to render everything with a transparent background.That little animation has a huge file of 9 MB!
Here it is. My character as sweet little Chao with a sweet little shiny star. Due to converting the PSD-file with all the colors into a GIF-file the quality needed to be reduced so the amount of colors are recuded and the edges might be a bit cropped.

I like speaking with images like that... I even developped all an explanation on how computers works by comparing them to a real desktop.

To think about that the computers are like the real business desktops.
You have your folders of fomulars, files with data of your customers and other things, and your closet is like a drive where the files and folders are stored in.

My vision is about the hardware part of the computer, but yours is right too
The processor is you. The higher is the frequency, the quicker you can do tasks. Having 2, 4 or 8 cores on it is like if you had 2, 4 or 8 pairs of arms: you can do multiple things at once XD
The RAM is the surface on your desktop: the more you have RAM, the higher number of books (= programs) you can let open on your desktop without problems.
The hard drive is your library. You can store a lot of books in, but you can't open them directly, you need to move them on your desktop (= in the RAM) at first. If your RAM is full, your computer needs to store some files in the hard drive (you need to close some books and store them in your library) before using the new one. It works but needs time. That's one source of computers slowdowns.
The graphic card is your desktop lamp. With a powerful card you will be able to see smaller details in your games, or better things on your desktop.
