Final Fantasy Explorers OST - The Wolf's Heaven (Amaterasu's Battle Theme)(I'm wondering why they chose that a title like this. That suits more to the Eidolon Fenrir ...)
So then, a fan art from Final Fantasy Explorers I've been playing for some time. It's quite a fun game for those who loves Final Fantasy mixed with Monster Hunters.
And yes, the legendary Eidolons (also known as Esper, Summons, Aeons etc.) are here, waiting to the ones who want to challenge them!

Seriously, I didn't know that Surama, the one who helped you escaping from the dragon king at the beginning of the story, is actually a god!
But I kinda felt sorry to fight against her as I was reaching the place I needed to go ... nonetheless she's still one of my fav Eidolons I loved challenging again and again!~ End of the spoilers ~
This time, a drawing of Amaterasu (no, not that little wolfy from Okami
) one of the newest Eidolons beside of the known ones in Final Fantasy.The concept is referenced from Amaterasu's image from Final Fantasy Explorers.
I sat long for the sketch on my paper but having only one image and then making a drawing out of this rendering (with the limited size of a sheet of paper) I managed making an adequate drawing.
Yet, I needed to expand the canvas size up to 8000 px X 6000 px (with 20 layers in a resolution of 300 dpi) which lead having a file size of 155 MB ... and just for the character drawing. I needed to make an extra file with the character icludes the background or else my computer would crash. Still the other file has a size of 77 MB
But it was worth making this drawing!

Amaterasu was an interesting Eidolon. Even the Avatar character is noted to be sad about defeating her. I really do hope they bring her back in future titles.

Yes, I found it sad to defeat her.
Indeed, I wanted to look for references to draw Amaterasu in her human form one day. But it's very hard to find decent ones .. almost not possible.
Maybe but I guess like Valigarmanda, Amaterasu would most likely belong to the unique Summons who might appear in this game especially.

Awesom work, the whole picture feels so powerfull.
I realy like the sworts around the charakter the realy make it to stand out.
Just the way you shade the figure looks kinda unfiting to me, i think to use the glowing on his hand or the sworts would looks nice.

The biggest problem with this is probably values and how the picture reads. If the picture is a little smaller you cant really tell whats going on. If you squeeze your eyes the character will just disappear. Thats because your character is pretty dark and so is your background. You could simply brighten the background. Or to make it more interesting use the fire swords as a intense lightsource and really give some bright oranges and yellows to the character

I guess I should give more lights to the character. As you told, because of the lintense light of the swords that gives quite a good light source I can use it.
