A picture I drew about a week ago while trying out different coloring style. Kinda looks good with the lines so I try using the different coloring technique than usual. Soft mood and drawing of background and some sunlight, accompanied by breeze that expresses the calm atmosphere of the land.Related content

Now, yeah, don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not so sure about this one.
I like the picture overall, and the feel is fantastic, yet I can't help but feel that it doesn't live up to the quality of your previous pics.
Basically, it took me too long to realise how much detail was actually in the thing. With the newer line style and the sfoter colour combined I actually thought that this was one of your throw-away sketches to begin with. Even now when I look at it, there's the sense that you haven't put nearly as much time into the piece, it doesn't seem as finished as others.
I like the pic, I really do, but my mood just seems to be dampened by the effects of the styling.
Okay, now that I think about it, if you took a bit of time with this style, you could end up with some fairly stunning soft-colour pieces, maybe a little stronger strokes on the line-art would help that, maybe not, but practice with the technique will smooth out all the wrinkles I've gotten.
And, as ever, I still love the work. Well done.

Yeah compare to what I have done in this gallery this piece appeared as half-done. And you were right about this looking like a throw-away piece because it's more like a doodle when it first started out. You could say a mearly experimental type of picture.
It's different soft mood than my older works. The skill is still a rock and not yet sharpen into a diamond. Takes time but eventually I'll be able to get around and make a complete soft mood.

yeah i can see that u're not using ur usuall style here.. becoz ur usuall style is strong and bold but this one is soft and smooth..

Indeed the soft mood here is very nice...something we barly see nightmare in ( or at least as of late ^_^;; ) so defently a good feeling and calm is brought by the drawing. =3
As far as your coloring went it came out realy well...but theres a spot...bottom right...green....thats just thick streeks...nothing too big but...eh...its usaly unlike you to leave such an odd thing in your drawings ^_^;;
now...My one problem with this drawing?...The water marking makes my eyes bleed...I think its just me and my sensitive eyes but meh...painful... (>_<
SO...other then me killing my eye balls ( owe... ) and a little smuugy it came out quite well! Great job Nezumi!

I'm killing your eye balls? That actually happened to me too. The picture may be better if you view it from a distant. Of course the ones I have on my folder isn't water marked and it's bigger.
The smuddy spot down to the bottom right, I didn't noticed it, you have caught something I missed. Impressive observation skills. Keen eyes, hopefully the water marks don't rust your searching ability.
You probably can try wearing sunglasses before viewing.

yeah lately ive been submitting some stuff, i've gotten used to my talbet, so more of my submissions will be in color now, that and i've been on a roll lately. hopefully i'll find time to draw when we go back to school, in like 2 days.

Wow's..so sketchy!! o.o The sketchyness gives a nice feel to the whole picture x3 I thought he had a different outfit before? o.o I likes this outfit the best among the ones you drew for him xD;;
The coloring for the hair looks not as shiney as how it usually is. o_o But if it were, then I think it might've looked out of place in the picture xD;;

Yup it is sketchy, sometimes sketchy has its good sides and making the whole scene peaceful. Mostly I like the softness of the picture when coloring something sketchy. The solid edge is for more heavy-colored and defined line drawings for me.
He had many outfits before but it seems this one is more to my and people's favors. The shining hair highlight is used in solid-shading pictures. :3
