Is that a print of the the Crystal Palace? It has a wonderful effect on the overall composition - gives it that background detail without you having to use too many brushes (which often clutter up a piece).
Also love the contrast of the skyscape (if I can call it that); it brightens the picture, giving it a feeling of space, too, without being too bold.
I like the cornerpieces you've employed; giving it a close study I'm not sure if having the right-hand lower cornerpiece larger than the lh top, but there is the matter of needing to compensate for the draw of bright on dark in the upper corner drawing the eye away, and I have to admit that the crossover into the dark does soften the contrast of the piece somewhat, and give it some flow.
Sorry if I'm a little overlong; I do try to put some criticism in my constructive criticism (but it's a very appealing piece, can you tell I was having trouble finding some?).

hahaha!!! wow, what a critic! I'm glad you've bothered to write it all down.
Crystal palace? well, yes it is... Thing is when I was doing this, It was something that came sort of out of the blue, and I wanted to make it quick. also, I had no tablet back then, so all of these portraits are collages. I agree, it has this sort of texture quality to it, something I always go for. and I LOVE those old building drawings, you can't find it now days...
and the sky? It's sort of a inner feeling of freedom, the inner craving, and that is why it's inside of me... have you listened the song? check it out!
and also, how do you know to say "you're welcome."

I don't draw as much as I critique, it seems! Maybe I should back that up with some technical study... *shifty eyes* I enjoy writing far too much, but if it's ever a help to fellow artists, then it's more than worth the time!
Ah, Victorian and Edwardian architecture...woodcuts, copperplate prints...yes, absolutely grand, aren't they? No wonder steampunk is growing so popular. People had style back then. I have some repro prints from the era, though I'm not sure where they're generally available (but one can find anything on the internet, yes?). I'm a big fan of calligraphy (and the accompanying flourish work) through the centuries; I can recommend any Dover works for design references particular to Victorian/Edwardian times (ah, woodcuts).
For something done on the wing, I think you've realised the underlying idea very well - that freedom, that movement, that's exactly the impression it gives! Personally, I'm pretty poor at communicating messages through art (draughtsmanship needs so very much work), but I think you've done a strapping job, tablet or no.
I tried to pick up some Croatian a while back, but mostly I endeavour to use basic phrases if I see a Deviant is from another country - I mean, many people here have the most amazing English skills (as a second language), so I figure I should make the effort. But I love the sound of Slavic languages

Mm-hmm, I'm a sucker for the sound of a language - each one has a different cadence, and a different melody in its morphemes [swoons in a highly academic manner].
I'm actually half Dalmatian - well, technically. I know that sounds strange as hell but what I mean is Croatian through ancestry, not culture. I made an attempt upon the language but that's about the extent of it. But Hrvatski and I, we maintain cordial enough relations (not like with French - that damn phonemically convoluted hussy of a language!).
However, you just made the terrible mistake of offering up your linguistic services. Hvala!
Hmm. Long comment is...long. Pardon...

Aha, no, it's not - until you find your inbox clogged with questions about grammar and "how do you spell...?"
Knew? Hmm... My only practicable psychic powers involve predicting when I'll miss the train.
