Description
An AU where everything stays pretty much the same.
Wally lost his sight when he was around 7, and he got his powers when he was around 11.
Barry and Bruce spend years making him googles that would allow him to see.
Thanks to special technology that actually had to insert small needles into his temples, he could see shapes and heat signatures.
It hurt if he wore them for so long, but overall was an amazing thing.
When he met Robin, he was afraid that they wouldn't have anything in common.
They couldn't really watch movies or play video games.
Turns out, they both liked music, and they both loved talking.
They quickly become best friends, who love to walk around holding hands (and eat, in Wally's case)
After a year Rob takes Wally's hands, puts them delicately on his own face, and allows him to see him. Also introduces himself as Dick Grayson.

After forming the team, there is a situation, when Wally and Conner are left together in the cave.
Con watching static, Wally relaxing, luled by the sound of TV.
Con is obviously angry and if Wally has to guess it's about Superman.
So Wally orders him to sit down in front of him. And he gently puts his hands on his face (he asked first, of course)
'You look a little bit like Superman' He replies finally. Before Con can get angry, he adds 'But you are also very different. Your ears, your lips, and your forehead. You are your own person, Supey.'
Con asks him how does he even know what Superman looks like. Wally sheepishly replies that when he first started out as KF, few of the heroes let him acutally touch thier faces and see what they looked like.
Basically, Wally gives him a 'Don't do what others tell you to do with your life. Do what you believe is right. You are your own person' speech.
Before they have the chance to become even more cheesy and 'hug it out' as Wally would have put it, M'gann, Artemis and Kaldur walk in.
Basically they all let Wally see them, and when Robin comes in he's whining about 'all his teammates being so pretty it's not fair really, how do they even do it, are they all secretly Amazons or something.'

Also, Wally and Barry often visit children as civillians. Wally is a part of a special program, and helps children cope just as people helped him when he was younger.
They also work with Wayne Enterprises, to create special technology, that would allow new possibilities and easier lifes for disabled people. It's a slow progress, but they are getting there. New glasses for blind and hearing aids for deaf.
Wally already has a promised job in the Wayne labs and everything is good.
He and his friends can get through everything together.

Um. Those are ideas I had 3 years ago, and I don't feel 100% comfortable posting stuff about disabilities, that I don't really know much about. So I think I'll just leave those AU out, until I feel satisfied with them. This one is out as a test, and If something here offends you, please tell me, and I'll fix it.
