this was just supposed to be an exercise on color theory but it, ah, got away from me. it's, what? my third ~proper~ digital painting? yeah.lots of mistakes and things but i'm considering it done for now. may touch up on it later if the mood strikes.
photoshop + wacom tablet | aprox 9 hours | many refs used, mainly this one

It's gorgeous. I really love the mix of colours, and the contrast between the warm light behind them with the blue highlight. They help with the sweetness of how gentle Gwaine and Arthur are touching Merlin. The details on their faces and hair and overall sheer blinding hotness have made me stare for long minutes already, and do so again everytime I see this again.
