Description
To our new identity.I'm brown skinned and grew up in the Philippines and hold Dutch nationality, and Nepalese blood. I'm even more brown than half of Manila. How that happened? I've got to sit you down to explain it all.
We are so mixed now, and the concept of a country is blurred now. I think that's good. Respect everyone for who they are, not how they look, and definitely not where they came from.
Part of a grand Flag series I shot a few months back.
Much love,
Becky

interesting concept of identity addressed in this photograph which the story adds so much more to than the initial idea of the flagged face alone can tell. However, i find it interesting that it is an American Flag after the mention of philippines, dutch and nepalease connections but not america?
I love the effect of white stripe lower lip and red stripe upper lip while eyes run in the middle of the stripe not divided. The curved forward shoulder just draws my eyes again and again. Infact i think the bare skin below the painted face really helps show the persons looks: the reverse of clothing for normally we read a persons looks in there face and style/identity more from their clothes. hmmm. Really like this one.

nope. colors
My skin is kind of sort of brownish
Pinkish yellowish white.
My eyes are grayish blueish green,
But I'm told they look orange in the night.
My hair is reddish blondish brown,
But it's silver when it's wet.
And all the colors I am inside
Have not been invented yet.
