WOW, that is absolutely epic!! The crest though is just so cool that I can't keep my eye off of it.

Thank you, really appreciate it
I was thinking about making the crest bigger, but I think I'm gonna leave it the way it is (My other spinosaurus already has this humongous crest, I don't want to be repetitive)

That looks awesome! I really like the way the heavily keratinized rostrum morphs into a much more scaly/skin like integument, very realistic looking.

Thank you for your comment and I'm glad you like it

Hope that I don't destroy this realistic look while drawing the rest of the body...

Style really reminds me of Tomozsaurus' work. Really nice.

Thank you for your comment, glad you like it

More like a bootlegged version of his style but yeah, I can see some resemblance. It wasn't intended though

...i am curious how you could think this is a duck to begin with
(going off facial appearance not life style)

Well, to be frank I was inspired by one of the comment under this picture
Β
One person called it a "Crocoduck" and I can honestly say that this phrase suits spinosaurids very well. (in my opinion at least ) They have this duck-like snout and webbed feet, so here goes why I called it a duck

oh without a doubt it fits them
it fits as perfectly as calling dromaeosaurs as ground hawks

i would say more croc like snout and duck like everything elseΒ

I couldn't agree more, my friend

Yeah, your words fits way better. Truly wonderful spinosaurids are

i have heard some interesting names for dinosaur groups
i have also heared tyrannosaurs being called Grizzly hawks or lion crocs before but i feel like there could be a better name for them

happy to hear my wording was dead on to you

Maybe a little fuzz?

No, and please stop with those feathers. No offense, but you're starting to really annoy me with these kind of questions.Β

Sorry. I meant only scant fuzz. Not a lot.

It's okay, just try to be less insistent in the future.Β
And about the fuzz. I don't like the idea of feathered spinosaurids, and there's no evidence that spinosaurids possessed any type of feathers. So no, there will be no scant fuzz.

They have been depicted with whiskers.

Not all dinosaurs had little fuzz or filaments. In fact there is more dinosaurs with feather-like filaments than actual feathers. And about 99.9% of dinosaurian where fully scaly. So there is the truth. Dinosaurs like Allosaurus, Concavenator, Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Carcharadontosaurus, Carnotaurus, Triceratops, Pachycephalosaurus, etc where scaly. Other dinosaurs with filaments also have scales, those where earlier coelurosaurians and Jurassic-early Cretaceous Ornithischians. Dinosaurs with feathers are Dromaeosaurs, Proceratosaurs, Oviraptors, Birds, etc. And those animals don’t have scales.
