He is considered by many to be one of the most prominent and truly magisterial of The Stygian Lords…..”
    “…. A quiet ((but ardent)) few consider him to be a Veritable Preeminent Executive, just underneath (The)Morrígan and Persephonē; *both* who ((since the mid 17th Century)) deem him a dear lover…”
    “….But perhaps most pertinent is that Míctlanteculhtí is one of B F G Cordova’s prime teachers, mentors and patrons…”

    [[ FYI:: Regarding Mictlāntēcutlí specifically pertaining to “Stygian Casebook”:….
    Within “Stygian Casebook” Mictlántécuhltí (( translation: "Lord of Mictlan" )) is actually one of the greater dualistic deities… Principally Mictlántécuhltí is a god of, and for The Underworld — specifically in facilitating the needs and Ultimate Purpose of [ The Underworld’s ] Underlying Reason: its Télos. Yet he also oversees and helps ensure aspects of fundamental organic renewal, especially agriculture…
    He is also One of The (Nine) Supreme Commandante~Generals of The Knights of The Far Shores

    ■ Nowadays, he's a penitent god — he’s utter remorseful for his part in contributing to what he now deems the derangement and corruption of The Aztecs, and consequently their annihilation. Most especially, he’s repentant for the mutilation and slaughter of the innocent… therein thus, he will be especially sedulous and vehement when Cordova calls upon him for aid against forces wishing harm and worse upon the innocent… ]]

    ….And yes, I do believe that this piece (and its artist) owes whatever it got right to the guidance of the accomplished Bernie Wrightson (( may he Rest In Peace ))…..
