Ok, if the anime dub cut it out when they were in love in the oringal version(which,as long as they don't make them related*coughcousionscough* and the couple's one huge part of the show, unlike most anime fans I don't mind this edit. *Yes, I surport gay rights*), then I could understand that. But you better find a lot of atucall screenshots from the atucal oringal japanese show, and find the creator's approval.But for everything else(ed. fangirl/hawt FICTIONAL guy, sonamy, ect.) no. They are never going to be in a relationship no matter how much you demand the creator to do so(note:Sonic Chronicals doesn't count, you could make Big/Amy happen if Big's been nice to her.).
The only benifeth of having your OTP canon is you get to see fanservice on it in the show, and you won't get killed by canon nazi for supporting it(note: I aware that not all canon fans are like that, just the visious ones that irk me off). That's it.

Tell that to Ronniecoln's shipper where they thinks it canon when clearly not when I look through TV Tropes that none of them are official couple or writers never said anything about them (I mean, sure, they kiss on their lips once, but that doesn't means it becoming canon just yet...) and people still believing it canon today (especially Tumblr at some point).

In Harry Potter people just claim DracoxHermione is 'canon' and try to shove their facts into everyone's faces -__- I support fanon pairings but I see them as just that: Fanon. I respect that the canon has happened, but I still ship my fanon pairs if I don't like the canon ship and respect those who like the canon ^^

I don't support claiming a couple is canon when it's not for one simple reason; it's lying. It's ok to make a fancouple, but it's never ok to lie.

Amen. People like this make it hard to tolerate their pairings. For example, I've seen diehard NaruSaku fans commenting on anti-NaruSaku work, crying, "IT'S CAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNON!" No, it's not. Nothing is canon until Kishimoto says it is. I have yet to see a single NaruHina fan (my ship, by the way) do the same. Although the Yaoi brats are worse, especially the stupid SasuNaru crowd.
