Description
Recently it occured to me that the Doctor has much in common with the old man in 'Up':
They are both (very) old and (very) kind, but at the same time,
they are both lonely since they have lost their loved ones.
Both the Doctor and Carl are the last of their kind (I'm referring to the heartbreaking moment in the film (well, there were several) when Ellie and Carl found out that she couldn't get pregnant).
They both travel with a (young) companion.
They are both looking for a place which they thought was lost (Gallifrey, the Paradise Falls).
In short, I thought this crossover was quite fitting and I just loved the idea of the Tardis flying around with the help of hundreds of balloons. In case anyone wants to count the balloons, feel free to do so. My mum gave up after she guessed 89 and ended up with around 70 in the lower third.
