The piece is very good.

The message is very good.

The Stupid American goverment are just bullies of the world.

Some American citizens know that (thank God!!!)

Others will never see it.

I don't agree with having on our planet someone who don't follow the rules just because is powerfull.

American stupidity will kill us all someday.

They do whatever they want and nobody says anything.

We have grown to lazy to act.

This madness has to stop.

And the only people that have the power to stop it are the American citizens.

Till then lets all NOT hail to the thief.....

I agree with most of it but, American citizens cannot make the difference, they are either patriotic and arrogand (fools) or just poor with no choice but to support the war and their army as they work for it. Some American have no choice but to support the war and their country but they are just the next wave of war heroes, noone talks about wounded did you notice? Have you seen any? Guess not...

We as people, I don't really know man, everyone makes decisions on his/her own, but we have to start thinking about others too.

Americans are not alone, they are only a few to make such imortant decisions for the whole planet.

take a look at the comments under this piece

"I do not think it help, I think it's oil. 50$ per barrel and still rising."

Do you not see the contradiction between these two sentences? If it were a war for oil and we are a bunch of gas thieves, our oil prices would be going down, not up.

I do not agree with the message of this piece. I feel it is shortsighted at best.

ok, ok,

This piece has to do with the "mistake" of the American President to go to Iraq and "free" it's people. He declared an illegal war and blah blah. Well man I think you could understand that this efects me personally as well, I am underpaid and everything around me just risies cause of the oil price. Oil price that is controled by American Companies now mostly. Now what is your question exactly?

Neszis In reply to B-positive [2004-10-06 18:50:19 +0000 UTC]

That sounded a bit antagonistic. I do believe that this war was "illegal" but absolutely necessary to preserve the stability of the world and the lives of millions, and this has nothing to do with liberation or WMDs. My viewpoint is a bit conspiratorial. I'm just trying to get you thinking about it a bit, which I see you already have been .

Why did America attacked Iraq man? Was it "absolutely necessary to preserve the stability of the world and the lives of millions"? By killing thousands? I guess you were threatend by Iraq, yeah, sorry to say this but they where a lot happier back then, no they are just occupied, hmm that just sounds good.

ps. what is WMDs?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Neszis In reply to B-positive [2004-10-07 20:37:24 +0000 UTC]

I'll get laughed out of here if I start talking about the reason I believe we went into Iraq because it's a bit conspiratorial and not widely accepted. It involves OPEC, the Euro, the internationally accepted currency, and the Iraqi middle class. Just take it that I believe that while Iraq was not a threat to us or its neighboring countries militarily, it was a threat (a fulcrum, if you will) economically to the stability of the world, and through no fault of its own.

WMDs are the American buzzword acronym for Weapons of Mass Destruction, such as biochemical warfare (anthrax, mustard gas) and nuclear warheads.

You mean you invated a country because they were an ecomical threat? And stability of the world. Let everyone die and we sould be stable, good point there. That's why I get poorer and you get richer and you (your country) want even more. Ask the people of Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe to tell what they think.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Neszis In reply to B-positive [2004-10-09 01:13:51 +0000 UTC]

Every country on Earth is economically tied to America in some way. If America falls, the planet plunges into Depression. Hell, just our stock market crashed in 1929 and all of Europe was launched into depression. America's reach is more than its own borders. If you want us to just go away, you have to expect a LOT of other countries to go with us. I doubt I'm being egotistical or nationalistic - I realize that we are a big freaking country and our fate is intertwined with others'. So, yes, although I don't feel the Iraqi civilians had to die in such large numbers, I feel the invasion of Iraq was necessary, although extremely unfortunate that it had to come to this (through no fault of any one president, or even any one country).

By the way, the same goes with a lot of other countries. I'm not threatening the world, here, it's just that we are a system of nations, and one large cornerstone nation would certainly make much of the rest of the attached nations fall, too. Nations like Russia, China, or Saudi Arabia, if they fell, those within their spheres of influence would fall, too.

Neszis In reply to B-positive [2004-10-06 18:48:53 +0000 UTC]

My question was this: if the war is for oil, why is it that we aren't seeing a decrease in price (as you'd think we'd have MORE oil flowing into the U.S. and thus price would receed).

Your counter-arguments are probably one of the following, all of which have some merit, but not much:

- We haven't "stolen" their oil yet, and so the oil consumed by the war isn't being replaced, causing the oil price to go up.
- It takes time to get this oil, as we're now building a mystery oil pipeline through Iraq, but at the moment it's not headed to the U.S. because our pipeline isn't finished.
- Invading Iraq allowed US companies to have more control over the world's oil, and thus since they had a monopoly they could charge pretty much whatever they wanted.

I can counter all three of those arguments, so if you're planning on responding with any of those, please don't. If you have another explanation, please give it because I have yet to hear one.

War man is your answer, fucking war. Your goverment wanted to make war and invated Ireq which on that time seemed to be a more suitable target. Why not Saudy Arabia? 15 out of the 19 (believed) terrosist where Saudies. Why attack Afganistan then. And finally, you really believe you have the right to fuck everybody around you?

NOw if you want to know more about oil, I can say, but you have to konw basic geography first.

Neszis In reply to B-positive [2004-10-07 20:48:09 +0000 UTC]

"NOw if you want to know more about oil, I can say, but you have to konw basic geography first."

Wait a second. Let's not go into insults, I know geography just fine. If any country invades any other country, is it automatically because of what resources it has? Since Iraq has oil, JUST because it has oil, we are automatically going to war for oil? In that case, we don't even have to wonder about why any war is ever started, it's because of what lies below the surface of the ground. That's a cop-out reason if I've ever heard one. It follows this line of thinking: "Americans are evil and greedy. Since they are greedy, they obviously only entered Iraq because it's rich. They can't possibly be justified, because Americans are evil and greedy, so I'm not even going to try. I see there's oil there, and the Americans went there, so obviously oil is why."

Come on. If you have a factual backup, give it to me. Don't just say "Well, there's oil there! Since you're greedy and you wanted it, you took it!" That is completely circumstantial, and there is not factual backup for it (that you have given me).

Remember, I'm just trying to get you to think, I'm not trying to be antagonistic. Dialogue is the best way to get things solved.

ok man basic explanation. But first tell me why the American invated Iraq and we can talk more about oil.

I am just saying that the Americans would have lost the 2/3 of main oil resources on the world.

That is because the leaders of the countries of the Caspian Sea have signed an aggrement (june 2002) to secure this oil for these countries (Russia, Armenia, Turkey, and so on). Well afterwards the terrorist attacks started to happen in Russia (Theatre).

Remeber Chaves? Yeah man Venezouela? Well that guy just said no more oil to the US, and he was almost assasined. Remember thousands of people demostrating in order to SAVE their elected president?

Do you know that my country spent almost 1,5 billion euro for the safety of the Olympics? And who were scared of a terrorist attack? The American and the Brits, well they should pay and not ME!

For any action there is a reaction.

Neszis In reply to B-positive [2004-10-07 20:40:07 +0000 UTC]

Please go more into oil. You said this was a war for oil, not a war for the sake of war. Keep this focused. Why is oil more expensive now that Iraq's oil fields have been "stolen" by the U.S.? Does it not logically follow that the more oil there is the less it should cost?

Americans are illigaly take advantage of the Iraqy oil, do you think it's going to be cheap? And who told you that Iraqy oil was expensive at the first plece? They sold it man, but it's theirs. So if you go and take over someones business would you sell the same price, or more? And then it's the most easylly explanation, war in Nigeria, and there you have it....

would things like that happen anyway? they happened before we got there and they still are going on. i think is it nice that someone is trying to help others... i dont think that the americans are trying to take over but just trying to help make the world a safer place to live...

but i really like this design and i am not in the army, nor would i want to be, i could not kill or be killed.

i just hope things over there do get better... and less and less people died in general....

war was never a good thing killing was never a good thing, but it would be at least arrogant to sort out other nation's problems.
It is the western point of view of a god that He is the balance and punishes whomever brakes it.
It is at least stupid my friend to play a god_figure role in maintaining peace in the middle east.
It is disastrously stupid to try maintain peace by killing.
It is F**&*X**!@x... to make a war for oil and cash.$ (or am i wrong you think?)...
Dude i don't hate americans, although i don't dig the people you elect, but you know this thing is so crap, and it's not getting anywhere appart from more dead us and iraqui soldiers...
