Description
I can totally stop drawing Jack Sparrow any time I want! Really I can! I uh, just donβt want to! My sister asked me to draw this picture, and I had fun playing around with painting it. I thought I better post it now since I keep trying to fix things and only end up making it worse. I do like how the coloring turned out though. Subtle but it adds a little something.Pencil and watered-down acrylics on watercolor paper (which I love sketching on by the way. Gotta go buy me some more of that!)

Hehe I know hes damn sexy in that scene. My sister practically forced me to draw it. Oh and don't even get me started on procrastinating. I'm typing this instead of studying Molecular Biology.

Another wonderful picture of Jack Sparrow. I love the detail on the dread locks. Wonderful, wonderful. I really like the shading on the hat, as well. The angle of this picture is difficult, I know.
You did a fabulous job.
The lips are a little wonky in this one, but I remember this scene, and his smile was a little cocky to begin with.
Great work.
Love and Luck,
Kat

Hey, you handled them well. I probably would have gone nuts and trashed the whole project, but way to hang in there!
Keep up the good work.
Love and Luck,

True that colouring often messes up great pencil sketches, but this in not the case. It is subtle and good you made it that way. Great work.

This is awesome. I like this version better than the black & white simply because it gives the image so much more depth and personality. The expression on his face is great

I worked on the sketch just a few minutes a time for a couple of days while I was on vacation and the painting only took somewhere around an hour or so.

I took acrylics and watered them waaaaaay down and used a really soft brush and dabbed at the paper with a paper towel. Basically I just screwed around with it till I was somewhat happy with it!

Ooh, very cool!! I like how there's a little color, but it's still monochrome in a way.

Thanks! It was almost TOO monochrome untill I added the BG!
