Description
This is Serita, a Mexican Gray Wolf. I have no idea if her name is spelled Serita or Sarita, but I know it's pronounced Serita. Serita was bold for a Mexican Gray Wolf, and was surprisingly interested in what people were doing. While the rest of the wolves in the enclosure were no where to be seen, Serita would follow you around, rubbing in scents and grabbing bloodsicles before anyone else even knew they were there. She is the definition of a Lone Wolf, fighting with her sisters for rank, but not having any real desire to be in the pack. Her behavior has baffled all of the animal care specialists where I interned, even the ones with years of canine experience.Done on Bristol with HB-9B pencils.

It's frozen blood left over from thawed diets that is often used for enrichment. It sounds icky, but a ton of the animals I've worked with absolutely LOVE them!
