I hate when people (or bodies of people IE governments etc) do things in Gods (or Allah or whatever you want to call him/her/it/them) name! Most of us have sort of forgotten whats going on over there in Iraq. That doesn't mean its not happening anymore. We've just started to get used to the thought. Whether we like it or not.Anyway, back to the topic:
I get frustrated when people (or governments) say they follow god and then do something like.... Invade a country?? This piece is dedicated to using God as an excuse for evil.
Just sick of people going out and doing things in Gods name....
And now i'm very sleepy!

I will try and reply to all your comments and such but it might take a little while...
P.S. It seems that some people are wondering how religion comes into play here. One of my main points in this argument is the official US motto. 'In God We Trust'. ( See here: [link] )
I do not believe that you can say such a thing, such a bold statement, without at least IMPLYING that everything you do is of god.
Once you begin to portray your allegiance (If you will) In such a way, you can no longer really separate the two anymore (State and religion).
But thats my belief anyway...

Call me stupid but I think the only thing missing is the definition if the characters are walking in to the church or out of the church. I see the tanks are turned facing away from the church but since the men are symmetrical it's hard to judge. It would be a rather different message if it was the other way around, people deconstructing their tanks in the name of the lord

I always loved this pic cause it kinda reminds me of how easy it is to abuse a religion by drawing on the fact that many people believe in something although it can't be scientifically proved...
but on the other side it makes me kinda sad:

But to be honest, right now I cant think of many good things about religion. That might just be the mind frame im in right now, but I feel strongly about the bad things, and not so strongly about the good.

I know... it's easy to feel bad... you know: it's pretty easy to write a sad song that touches evryone - and it's really hard to write a happy song that touches the same way...
and I also think it's easy nowadays to think bad about something wich is unfamiliar - it always has been like this.
but to me christianity (as an example for a religion) is familiar. I have read and heard the bible and thought about the things the book says, scruntinized the opinions within it - and I saw that the important thing about this religion is not to strongly believe in god and to be a mindless servant. the intention is to create a "perfect" society without hate, anger, vionlence and so on. but i guess in ancient times no one would have taken this seriously without a god that would punish you if you'd brake the rules. I almost think that the believe in god in that case is just something like a tool ...
well - I don't wanna convert you or something like that - I just can't take it when people feel bad things about the christian religion... you may of course think bad about some members - but keep in mind that these members who do bad things in the name of a god do mostly not represent the true intention of their religion...
