I hate when people (or bodies of people IE governments etc) do things in Gods (or Allah or whatever you want to call him/her/it/them) name! Most of us have sort of forgotten whats going on over there in Iraq. That doesn't mean its not happening anymore. We've just started to get used to the thought. Whether we like it or not.Anyway, back to the topic:
I get frustrated when people (or governments) say they follow god and then do something like.... Invade a country?? This piece is dedicated to using God as an excuse for evil.
Just sick of people going out and doing things in Gods name....
And now i'm very sleepy!

I will try and reply to all your comments and such but it might take a little while...
P.S. It seems that some people are wondering how religion comes into play here. One of my main points in this argument is the official US motto. 'In God We Trust'. ( See here: [link] )
I do not believe that you can say such a thing, such a bold statement, without at least IMPLYING that everything you do is of god.
Once you begin to portray your allegiance (If you will) In such a way, you can no longer really separate the two anymore (State and religion).
But thats my belief anyway...

I like it, it's up front and direct in what it's trying to say, which especially in the times we live in should be shouted from the rooftops. When I first saw the tiny thumbnail I though it was a line of people going into the church and coming out on their knees (didn't see it was a line of tanks) which is another point that needs to be made about religion in our age and time.

My only crit would be that when you really look it, its not entirely clear whether the people are going into the church, or the machines are going in and leaving as people. I was confused when I first checked it out. Maybe if you gave the people a front and a back, like a bowtie or eyes to make it totally clear which direction they're heading?
Anyway, its quite good, I like it!

Not to mention there's supposed to be that whole separation of state and religion thing.... Cute how politicians overlook the principles upon which their country is founded. Then again, if people weren't so much like sheep, they might call them out on this crap.

The only thing I see as being one of the reasons that there isnt this separation is the nature of religion:
That you should do all things through/with and from god.
And having that separation makes that kinda hard.

i know what you mean!!! if you look at judaism/christianity/islam (can't speak for other sects) their basic teaching is peace and harmony. i dont know where people get the idea that killing people makes them righteous, or makes god happy.
and i really like how, in this piece, you can view it as going in or out. great work, simple but powerful.

Perhaps slanting the shadows slightly back might help or getting one more tank and a few less people in it?
Still the concept is rock solid. It reminds me of the flash animation "War" by MINDistortion.
