Wow hey another species. I was gonna make this species closed but it became simpler than i hoped and so here.

What are Carpe?

Carpe are spirits that act as guardians to domestic ponds, protecting the captive fish within them. It is said that If one takes a liking to you, then your pond will prosper and you will be blessed with good fortune.

Appearance
----------------------
Most of the time, carpe will disguise themselves as fish in the pond, taking the form as the fish theyre designated as (which can be any carp-related fish such as koi or goldfish). However, when socializing or resting, they may take a more humanoid form. This humanoid form is usually the size of an average adult human, and usually feminine in structure (though not all Carpe are female in gender.) Their hands have no fingers, nor do their feet have toes. Their faces have gills and barbels. These barbels vary, and most commonly, carpe will have one pair of short barbels. It isn't unheard of to see a carpe with a pair of long barbels, and it is somewhat of a rarity to see multiple pairs of barbels of any length. Along with Barbels, carpe in their humanoid form will have a crest on their heads that ome in two parts- a front piece and a back piece. The front piece is usually a small bump/horn on their head. Sometimes, this bump will be avcompanied by two longer, straight horns. Rarely will a carpe be seen with two irregularly shaped horns. The back piece of the crest usually is some sort of fin or growth, which the design of varies between species.
Skin/hair color depends on the breed of fish, and usually mimics their marine form and pattern.
Their clothing can range anywhere from traditional to modern and alternative, though most of their outfits are asian in style, especially Japanese or Chinese. They like to decorate their crests with various accessories and objects.

- Carpe are omnivores, and can and will eat whatever humans can. They love to inhabit tea gardens and will sometimes steal snacks from humans visiting.
-They ususlly breed in their marine forms. If you need further information on how carp fish spawn, google it. I don't quite feel like explaining that;;
-Yes, YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN. Just use common/uncommon traits. Rare traits are currently off-limits. Also, you must credit me for the species and link me your design for approval Please UvU.
