Description
~SageHazzard asked me to help out with a comic hes starting, and do some concept art for a character of his called sledgeSLEDGE
Age: 21-25
Height: 6 foot 3
Body Type: Lean but Fit
Hair: Black, messy, longish (uneven, but some strands over the eyes)
Clothes:
Pinstripe suit, black, buttoned up usually, black dress shirt, buttoned all the way, nice and neat, black pants, red tie. Now, the boots... I want him to have "powerful" boots but his pants are over them. It's hard to describe how they look because it's fuzzy in my mind. Those kind of boots where there's the area the foot's in, then where the bottom of the foot would be, but then there seems to be another 2-3 inches of shoe on the bottom. Also, they'd probably have steel on the inside of the toe. These are skull crushing boots. Sadly, they'd only be seen from below the ankle. He also wears brown work gloves. Just plain looking gloves that are the kind a constuction worker might wear.
TFP (ten foot pole):
This is a massibe ten foot staff with a ball shaped thing on the end. So it'd come to about 12-13 feet. The ball is metal as well as the staff, but they aren't from the same mold. In other words you can see where the ball's part ends and the staff beginds but if sillouted it looks otherwise... hope I didn't over explain that.... Anyway, it has spikes on it. You can have some fun with the spikes, they don't have to be exactly uniform. Sledge holds the staff differently but the "grip" part of it is at the very end of the staff. Now, with an ordinary human they'd have problems swinging such a long weapon by holding it at the end, but Sledge is super strong. It fits into his suit jacket. There's a holster area that's built into the lining of the coat where the staff goes into. The ball part of the TFP would be up, above Sledge's head. The staff goes through the holster and out the bottom of the coat. He's usually just carrying the TFP but he does where it in the holster at times.
Pose/Etc.:
You can draw him swinging the TFP or whatever, it doesn't matter to me. In fact, I'd love to see one where Sledge is not swinging it and one where he's going all out with it. Maybe he could be hitting multiple people with it. See, since it's so long and he's so strong, it has a way of "catching" multiple people in it's swing, so it's great for brawls. But that's up to you if you feel like it.
But, for now just draw him holding it in a cool pose or something. Since it's so long in relation to him, it might be hard, so let me know the limitations on that.
Oh, and could you maybe also sketch a picture of just his face and have him wear a hat? A black dress hat with a red hat band. I'm toying with him wearing a hat sometimes. Just sketch it loosely so I get the visual picture. You can e-mail that one to me, since you might not want to put up a sketch on your gallery.
