another oil painting study completed in 2016 when teaching myself the medium.
My main point of focus as far as studies go was the style of Sargent - i based the jacket heavily off of a portrait he did as a curious test, the kerchief and collar being unique to this painting, and the skull a study of a stock image.
the horns, nodes and texture on the skull were all also just additional fun i threw on top - still utilizing the basic premise behind how sargent worked, but clearly butchering it as i'm still very new to all of this.

Next year I plan on picking up where i left off and continuing these studies
