Description Yup, more of my cousin to the fanart100. I planned to ink and color this, as per usual, but the textures were going so well and I found myself too attached to the pencil work to ink over it. As it progressed, it became a sort of exercise in anatomy. Thus, both M.D. and Biff are a little underdressed. M.D.'s outfit makes me wince. It looks like something Richard Simmons whipped up in a spasm of drunken passion and then vomited on. *shudder* But I'm freaking PROUD of that flowerpot. It proves that I CAN draw simple geometric shapes! For a while I worried. And seeing as I've never drawn someone's back before... woot! That makes up for M.D. being dressed like an aerobics instructer.

One of those few times when Biff and M.D. aren't busy smashing their way out of some prison, trying to kill each other, or verbally eviscerating each other out of spite. I don't know what is with M.D. and those stupid flowers, or really why Biff has them. Probably the last tenant of his apartment left them, and he didn't care enough to do anything about it. He'll probably knock it off the balcony when he has a bad day.

*gasps* You...you...you HATE deep literature?? What about Lord of the Flies? You can't hate Lord of the Flies?

lol...kidding...actually, I don't know if Lord of the Flies is considered deep, even.

M.D.'s hand is absolutely perfect. Biff's hands are excellent also (and probably perfect)...the structure of the both of'm is excellent. So excellent, in fact, that I overlooked the Richard Simmon's uniform. Besides, M.D. looks miserable...we can pretend that's why.
I like Biff's expression. It's so..."Biffy".

And your drawings are getting dimension! There's space around these figures... wonderful rendering.

Lord of the Flies has my respect, and I liked it, but I probably wouldn't read it on my own time.

The hands were provided with the semi-willing help of my brother ("Do you need me naked?") and the rest was helped by Sheppard's Anatomy. God bless that man; there's a special place in Heaven for him, I'm sure. Without him, I'd be sunk. And good idea; I now have an actual plausible reason for M.D. looking like she's about to play "Paint It Black" and cry little angst tears.

Thank you for your love! I keep it in a box under my bed for good dreams!

LOL..."Paint it Black"

M.D. and angst... it just isn't...riiiiigggghhhtt.... Though Richard Simmons referencing is almost justification.

Hey, my dad and I have decided that 'Paint it Black' is the quintessential sobby, 'society makes people lemmings' song.

M.D. + angst = yes. M.D. + little angst tears = certain underworlds experiencing a once-in-eternity coldsnap.

Okay, okay, that's what I meant. She's got enough reason to be angsty, but fortunately she's the last person to do it the dramatic way.

True, unless you count the occassional whining fit.

I love the symbolism of the withering plant and the melancholy expression of the girl...beautiful work again!

*screams* Aaaah! Not that! Not symbolism! That implies I'm deep!

I think that taking honors english makes you look more deeply into stuff than you need to

Oh, it does. That's why I have learned to HATE deep literature.

Haha, that's probably why I HATE Hemingway.

Have managed to escape Hemingway, but Toni Morrison haunts me to this day.

Uh-oh, haven't gotten to that author yet. That bad?

Well, she's a good author, but she tends to write about people with so few redeeming qualities whatsoever that you kinda spend the next week feeling gritty inside.

I hate those types of depressing authors. It's like reading Emily Dickinson poems-- you just want the morbid bitch to go hang herself already and stop haunting the modern age.

Dickinson isn't so bad--I just don't get much poetry in general. You want depressing, you read nonfiction.

Which is why I don't.
