Description Because *VolensVivarium has been very patient. She made me realize that I haven't touched the tree since... what was it, '04? That or early '05. And the design, particularly in the feet, was rough. So I decided that the Tree needed some comprehensible feet, and I doodled up some trees. Later, I might draw some actual finished piece with it again--especially since it seems so improbably popular--but I've been having a bit of a dry spell at the moment, not to mention been busy with travel, cars, etc.

The other bits you can ignore. They're a half-doodled walking Tree (evidently I still haven't figured how THAT works) and an attempt at Grey. He doesn't so much fight me as he just quietly resists until I storm off in disgust.

Er... yes. the first of the doodles, just because I wanted to see if I could make a baaing Tree spiffy. As you can see... no. No I can not. I'm still not even sure how that jacket is staying on it without shoulders. *waggles fingers* Physics violation!

Grey, I think, spends more time than the average person fairly beat up. And I was trying to work out a fight scene--one of many attempts with different characters that just isn't working out for me at the moment.

Not if the coefficient of friction is high enough.

Sorry to hear that. How's the writing coming?

:considers: Yes. Bark has a high coefficient of friction. Physics is NOT violated! Woo!

Better now, though it's hard to get to it with work. Usually after I finish, all I want to do is find a suitable drool surface and crash to bed, or get something to eat that isn't pizza. But when I have the time... yes, it's been starting to come back to me, yes. I'm satisfied.

Yup. I can only assume that the Tree, utterly determined to somehow digest chocolate, found a Hershey bar and a man with a hammer, and the man with the hammer pound on the chocolate bar until it got through via osmosis. Unfortunately, the poor man passed out from heatstroke, leaving the Tree with half a Hershey bar sticking out of its bark.

hey, half a hershey bar is better than no hershey bar!
