Cheap and Cheaper...HAHA. I honestly don't know...i'd like to think under $200, but I haven't shopped for prices so I don't know how reasonable that is at all. I just know the digital I use not is a Kodak piece of crap and I want something better!!! I love macro!!

well, I was going to tell you that mine was only about 350, and that was last year so it's probably cheaper now, but...I don't think it's $200
If I notice any cameras when I'm looking I'll let you know!

Thanks! What do you think are a couple of the best brands? I can always look around too, but I don't want to look at junk.

i always hear good stuff about canon, and I have a nikon. So I'd check out those brands first, see if there stuff is still good at your price range (which it probably is)

now whats the difference between your camera and an SLR? you'r pictures are so much better. it's like my pictures are limited to how close i can get, but yours are so clear and awesome.....i need a nice camera, but i don't want a digital one cause i develop them in school.

the difference (mainly) is that you can change lenses on an SLR (can't on mine) and SLRs are usually manual (I don't think I've ever seen an automatic one without at least the manual option)
I say go with nikon if you're looking for a film one...Or maybe Pentax (I have a pentax, but it's really, really old...well, like 10-15 years or so..probably older)

that's most people's dilemma. I was lucky enough to get an old film one for free (my parents had one) and be able to buy a digital.
Do you have access to darkrooms normally? Or is it just at random times..if so, I'd say get the digital..it's a lot less money in terms of finishing the photo (compared to buying all the chemicals and paper for developing).
Hope everything works out
