Description Now that's what I'm talking about! Isn't he absolutely haunting? I love how well this ended up I'm sure there are a few things that I could probably chance, but for the time being I am please with how it looks. I think it will serve as a much more interesting thumbnail illustration for this story ==> At Death's DoorGuardians, as they are simply known, are angel-like entities; but rather than serving as divine advocates, these beings have been created with the daunting task of ensuring the stability and continuity of all of Existence itself. There are countless Guardians, each playing their own part in the workings of the Guardian Order, however, only a select few have the ability to influence the Course of Existence directly. They are simply known as the Council. Each member of this exalted group has control over a specific aspect of Existence in order to uphold the Laws of Eternity as dictated by the Eternal Being of all Existence, whom these chosen few have a direct connection to. These Laws were flawless and absolute; not only stating how the Guardians were to uphold their assignments, but also giving them the authority to interfere in matters that threaten to throw the order of being out of balance.
Accompanying the Guardians are beasts known as Holly Hell Hounds. They are elemental beings ca

I think there's a lot of improvement going on in this one compared to this old sketch => Your soul now belongs to me... Unfinished.  Then again, that's a super old sketch, not to mention I was working on it in MS paint if that helps date how old it is

Awe you, that's so kind of you to say I've still got a long way to go though This one took me a while to finish, and I kinda cheated by tracing most of the line art from places and tweaking them so they fit together. The resolution sucks too because when I started it I didn't realize that was a thing you had to fix before you finshed, so I have to fix that now, which means I'll probably have to do the whole thing over Like I said, I still have a lot left to learn

I couldn't tell any of that from looking at it. It looks pretty correct to me. But, I am sort of an amateur, myself. (As in, I have no real training. I taught myself everything I know and asked questions of people or I looked it up on youtube)

Maybe it's only obvious to me because I'm the artist and all we seem to be good for once we finish something is pointing out all the things that are wrong with our work because we know exactly where we messed up

I don't think you're amateur, you're better than me and I (sort of) went to art school. Those classes don't really teach you much other than the really obvious stuff really Other than Artistic Anatomy, I actually learned a lot from that one. But I do know what I like, so that's why I fave so much stuff here. I see what other artists did that I like and I try to implement similar things in my own work. Not straight up copy something, mind you, but when you look at a picture long enough you tend to see what works and what doesn't for the particular thing you are trying to work on.... Oh lord, now I sound like my illustration teacher

Speaking of youtube though, have you seen this person's stuff before, they're really good and really helpful www.youtube.com/channel/UC5dyu…

Oh, well I did got to school to learn how to draw a bit, but I meant that I didn't go to school for graphic drawing or digital drawing.
I leaned everything I know on any digital program from playing around in the program, not from someone teaching me. The stuff I don't know, I look up on youtube or ask people on dA.

And no, I've never heard of that youtube channel. Looks cool

same here. There aren't really any professional classes in art school that teach you how to use digital programs. Most of the people I know who use them say they all learned from trial and error. I prefer messing around at my own pace anyways. Those courses tend to be pretty useless. I'm sure there are some that teach you some pretty useful tricks and all, but like you said, there's always Youtube or asking someone else who's already figured out all of the shortcuts

Yeah, he's really food. He's got tones of videos and playlists to go off of too, from beginner to pro level stuff. I like to watch some of his work when I've got time to kill. I also like proko, but he's more into figure drawing and technique
