Description
So this is my third mechanical Flash/Memory key & probably, in my opinion, my most successful so far.It has however taken an age to finish (approx 10-12 hours) mainly due to the detail and having to harvest the pieces from the watches myself - I think I probably used parts from around 6 different pocket watches (from brand new ones to watches over 100 years old). The key is made out of purple heart & has approximately 26 Ruby's which look great when the key catches the light, & when the Keys plugged into a USB, it glows green from underneath the gears giving the key a good sense of movement.
Please note the gears on this key do not actually move.
This piece has sold but I have others available in my shop or can be ordered on commission.

Oh WOW. That looks amazing.
I've been looking at a lot of steampunk styled PC peripherals, and I keep thinking that they wouldn't suit what furniture I have in mind for when I get my own place (They definitely wouldn't suit my current place of residence, that's for certain...), but I've been seriously considering buying a few pieces, much like this one (Hell, I've even thought of buying a spare facia or two for my RAZR2 V9 and experimenting with making it look steampunk...).
Seriously though, this flash key is extremely impressive. As and when I have cash to flash, and my own place of residence, I shall certainly have to ask you if you can make me something of this calibre.

IT's really cool, but whats the point of cogs if they don't spin?

when something beautiful ends, for whatever reason, it's most important not to be disappointed that it's over, but glad that it happened at all.
