Description
Well, this is a test of very long exposure.Here, about 3-4 minutes on a very cold night. The quality is poor due to the poor scanner that I used (the scanner of one of my freind). The light and the city is a little bit overexposed to me, but I like the whole result. The straight line in the sky is a plane.
The film used is a Fuji Provia 100F.

Nah, the glow of the city seems pretty fine to me. It still shows enough detail in parts, to show more interest. Good Job there. My only disagreement is with the mountains, and how dull they look, compared to the spectacular glow of the rest. I would suggest increasing the ambient glow qualities of that part, to balance it out. Nice work.

The film is really better in contrast and light. Light on moutains is not interessing but there is too much contrast between them and the city. Maybe using a gradual filter could do something more interessing.

even with poor quality of the scanner, it really does a good job of making the city below look ablaze from the falling stars. very well done.

I love it. The snowy mountain, the yellow haze below it, the star trails... It all comes together very nicely.

c-est vraiment trop fort ! on dirait la fin du monde avec une pluie de météorites et le magma en fusion qui sort des entrailles de la Terre... ce qui m'épate aussi c'est la lueur qui émane de cette ville (j'sais pas où c'est...) qui donne une aparence encore plus irréelle à la scene...

c'est marrant ce mouvent fait par les étoiles on pourrait croire à du flou mais quand ont voie que les montagnes sont nettes on se dit que non... c'est un peut le desordre mais en même temps on trouve une certaine régularité...

Awesome shot, the city lights are a bit overexposed but its very good because it contrasts with the dark sky. Its a nice detail...very good shot

vraiment reussi l'effet, on dirait que la ville est en train de bruler.
Sinon je savais pas qu'en seulement 3-4minutes les étoiles bougeaient autant...

Oui, c'est assez étonnant. En diapo, cela rend encore mieux. Un de ces 4, je vais essayer un temps de pose beaucoup plus long!

The haze in the city looks really good in this one I think. It makes it look like an alien city or something....uh..something sci-fi anyway.
The horizon is a bit off though, not too hard to fix in photoshop/gimp though

In fact, the scan was horrible. I don't have a scanner and it's cost a lot to buy a very good one. And i'm not good with photoshop!
