Ryan had to admit that he partied a little too much during his Freshman year. So he was looking for an easy way to make some cash during the Summer.

One day he saw an Ad on the College Intranet offering students a decent amount of money for participation in a month long "Medical Trial". It required total isolation from the outside world via phones and computers, but promised access to a gym, unlimited gaming, and movies.

Ryan filled out an application but after a week of hearing nothing, and finding that the Ad had been removed, he assumed that he had missed out. Yet just a day later he received an email saying that he had been selected to participate in the trial.

The next thing he knew he was being driven out of the city to a remote medical facility, and meeting a slightly creepy looking doctor, who was smiling way too much, and seemed to have way too many teeth.

Now he's shackled to a grimy tiled wall and he's wondering what kind of medical trial requires this?

He asked the toothy doctor, and the toothy doctor smiled with his too many teeth and replied...

"Oh, didn't I mention? It's a trial of your resilience to pain... You look like a healthy young man, I'm sure you can withstand a lot of pain... Don't you think?"
