Noah had never felt scared in his home town before. When the fog rolled in, as it often did, he had always thought it made the homes look warm and comforting. The chill that came along with the fog made him feel more cozy when he got home.

Yet tonight he felt like there were shadows in the fog. He had never felt so relieved to see his home with it's windows lit by warm lamp light.

He had never felt so comforted by a hug from his Mother, even though she scolded him for being out in the fog in just his shorts.
