After the reactivation and reinstatement of C.O.P., the good people of Syntha Tech Industries decided the time was right to get back into the robot business. Their investors, however, didn't share their enthusiasm but eventually came around after ST engineers assured them that M.E.D.I.C. was guaranteed to never "go crazy and curb stomp the sh*t out of a group of hippy protesters" like C.O.P. did.
To make good on that admittedly tall order, M.E.D.I.C was designed to be the polar opposite of her "Big Brother". Every measure was taken to ensure that she was courteous, professional and most importantl, extremely averse to the use of violence to solve her problems. This has lead many to assume that M.E.D.I.C. won't fight at all in a combat situation. But, as many a supervillain can testify, she is amazingly strong and equipped with an arsenal of high tech weaponry to compliment her life saving medical equipment.
