I started with a different "background" to the picture, but then I realized you could see a reflection in Glenn's glasses, so I made the version that is in my gallery. I quite like how this one turned out though, so I thought I would post it anyhow.Related content

The original picture had this big black triangle there, and I wanted to lighten it up. I basically painted it over white, but it didn't look right. So then I added some splatter effects with a slightly darker color and blurred it so it looked like more background. It still looked a bit to sparse and uninteresting. So I took a piece of a picture of a bridge pylon from Kamloops and put it over top, at a very low opacity, erasing parts of it so it blended.

I think the background looks kind of smoky, almost like it's an image being formed by your mind or something.
