Всё там же: старая добрая улица Курчатова, между мечетью Кебир-джами и Талмуд-торой (физвосп ТНУ).

Я миллион раз тут ходил-сначала к отцу на работу(он работал в лаборатории ТНУ),потом на свою работу(мы позже эту лабораторию перестраивали в учебный корпус физвоспа).Меня эти улицы в восторг приводят-само воплощение Истории!)))

Мне как-то довелось пожить в доме на Курчатова, выходящем окнами прямо во двор мечети. Незабываемый experience, особенно призыв на намаз в 3-4 часа ночи прямо над ухом)

Ну-к намазам я привык)))Мы живем в Добром,рядом-Эски-сарай,а напротив-Камыш-Кора.Но вот когда сидишь вечером на крыльце,луна сквозь черное кружево ветвей серебрит призрачные горы,в темноте россыпями звезд светятся окошки домов,и звучит призыв на намаз-это просто дух захватывает!

Of course I do. Every time I visit some picturesque place, I take photos for future reference. No memory can retain so many details.
When I was younger, though, I did most of my land/city-scapes en plein air.

I know if for a fact that artists have been using photos of places since the earliest days of photography in the 19th century. I don't see a problem with relying on the photos you took in a place you visited, especially if your technique is complex, multilayered, and time-consuming.

indeed. i see no problem with that either. And its such a great help when you cant run to the place any time you need to make sure about some detail that you need to know ^^
