“QARILĞAÇ YUVASI”
«The Swallow’s Nest» is the name of this storybook Gothic castle precipitously perched on the very tip of Cape Ai-Todor’s Aurora Rock 40 meters above the sea level in the village of Gaspra, not far from Yalta (Crimea, Russia). It was built in 1912 by a Russian architect named Leonid Sherwood for a Russian oil millionaire named Baron von Steingel. It is by far the most recognizable iconic symbol of Crimea found on the cover of just about every tour-book.
«Ласточкино гнездо» — название сказочного нео-готического замка, подобно птице примостившегося на самом краю обрыва Аврориной скалы мыса Ай-Тодор, на высоте 40 метров над уровнем моря, в посёлке Гаспра близ Ялты. Замок был построен в 1912 году русским архитектором Леонидом Шервудом для русского нефтяного магната Барона фон Штайнгеля. «Ласточкино гнездо» — самый узнаваемый символ Крыма; фото этого замка вы увидите на обложке почти всех путеводителей по нашему полуострову.

Una bella perspectiva del castillo, fantástico sombreado anaranjado que le da un encanto casi mágico. Muy bien coloreado el mar del lado izquierdo del trabajo, y excelente el detalle del barco velero de la derecha, que da perspectiva y contraste al conjunto.

It's actually on the southern end of Crimea. But it is, indeed, a Neo-Gothic building.

Thanks. It's a magical place, indeed. Swarming with tourists, though. It's best to visit it during the off-season. There used to be a restaurant in it, a VERY expensive one.
