Haha! I am no expert when it comes to guinea pigs but from having been fortunate enough to have seen Bobbi's parents, I'd say he's an average mix breed piggy!

I just wanted to mention, this was an accidental breeding. When bought, the owner was told both were female.

There are lots of mistakes made by pet shop owners when it comes to telling which animal is male or female... :/

I agree with you..Ā that is why I only support rescues or kijiji/etc rehoming piggies. I'd never directly get one from a pet store or somebody wanting to make quick bucks.

I prefer to save baby pigs from pet stores because they're often treated like shit and I know it's probably not the case in rescues. Btw I've never seen a pig rescue in France yet.
And as I can tell if a pig is male or female I don't care if they make a mistake. What's stupid is that when I got Kiki the pet shop owner said he couldn't tell if he was male or female but I was 11 and I could see he was a male. And now that he's 6 I can see it's clearly a male ahah.
I go to the pet store tomorrow to see baby pigs as I'll buy another one pretty soon for my birthday. I want a male so I hope it'll be ok... ^^' I don't want a female at all. But even if there is any mistake I'd love her regardless of her gender.
I'll post pictures of my new piggy when I have it. Might take time to find the right pig though. X)

Oh,I see. Pet stores do get a lot of supporters, hence them pumping out more little ones.

hehe i know, it is the same with bunnies xD i hate this work and they don't cooperate with you xD i always have to laugh when i'm cleaning cages of my bunnies and they jump on me and so on and than you realize that they are the reason why you have 3x more work than you would have if they would leave you alone xD
but for me is hard to be around them, i still have a picture of dead bunny in my mind (my first dwarf bunny died when i wasn't at home and he was only 10 months old) and i'm always afraid that i'll see another dead bunny

bunnies are for me the same as guinea pigs but they have more energy i think and are more stubborn (or are just mines and guinea pigs that i know don't have usual character xD)
bunnies usualy live for about 8 years. but i don't know what went wrong at my bunny that he died so quick

He's a actually quite a boy! My other boy, Rawzi is the biggest guinea pig I have ever owned (~1400g). Bobbi is 1300-1350g. I'm not sure if he is going to fill in some more but his weight is very close to Rawzi's!

Guinea pigs are thee best! Lol! They are poopy stinkers that come with a huge personality, appetite and tones of colours, markings and hair types!
I like rats but they do not live long enough for me. :C
