Description The CMU is a single-occupant vehicle with seating for the pilot only. Generally, the pilot must be spacesuited, especially if the pilot is planning to perform a space walk. The front of the CMU features several large windows. The craft also has a large headlight at its extreme forward end for illuminating a work area.

As the CMU is primarily a maintenance craft, it can be equipped with a variety of tools, including a set of dual remote manipulator arms called the Grabber Sled. The CMU can also serve as a tug for cargo modules with the Cargo-Train Attachment.

The CMU can operate both in the vacuum of space and within the atmospheric and gravitational conditions of a starship cargo bay or planetary surface

Hi : I really like your work on the type 2 workbee.Do you have any other specs on this.I think this design could be adapted for a hovercraft build.I've been looking for a cool design to use on  a full size hovercraft. Thanks, John

I would appreciate any help you can offer.I'm a member in the hovercraft club of america. Most of the craft have open cockpits and i've been searching for a design thats enclosed and looks good.

Thanks but i would have engineer it myself to convert it to a hovercraft.Lift and thrust fan layout along with the skirting..I have numerous sets of hovercraft plans i've purchased from Universal Hovercraft over the years. These hovercraft use a rib and stringer frame covered with 1/8 marine plywood. All tho builders are using foam and plascore construction these days.

I'm assuming that the tractor beams would have to be very powerful.

Are you seeing where I'm going with this?

Even though it is not meant to be a Star Trek design, it could easily pass as a sleek descendent of Andrew Probert's classic design.
