A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Because in the event of a ground invasion on the home front the military can't be everywhere at once, so armed citizen militias are required to defend the places that the military isn't, at least in theory, it's also why the Japanese refused to invade the West Coast during WWII...

I think its better if no one can bye an assault rifle like weapon like the AR-15. Seriously, the only people who need something like that is the Military and Police, civilians don't need something like the AR-15. I may like guns, but selling military grade firepower to the public crosses a line.

i served in the army.Β I shot alot of their weapons.Β I for one can tell you that the AR platforms are scary to look at but their ammo is a simple .22 with more power behind it.Β They are damn near useless as they dont really kill.Β The ammo wounds and injures the subject moreΒ than a 7.62 which does massive damage to the human body.Β Hell, a shotgun does more damage than an Ar.Β Do you know why so many people use them to kill???Because of the look. thats it.Β There is nothing special about an Ar.Β And it is not an assault rifle.Β There is no assault to it, thats just an action.Β I can take my beloved driver in my golf bag and assault someone with it.Β And it is strictly illegal to own a "Machine gun".Β To own one legally you have to go through federal paper work, government paper work and give alot of money that by the time you get the proper tags and license, you are too broke to buy a weapon costing more than a car.Β So please read up on this subject, because i am tired of people trying to out-talk others who knows more on the subject than any other in the convo.Β I'm not trying to argue with you, but ive put alot of people in their place because they dont know the subject that well.Β Be more worried about the people who wanna take our guns knowing full well when they do, all of us are headed to the gas chamber.Β

Trust me I have been trying to tell him that. But he says that no one needs training to use a gun, saying all you need to do is point and pull the trigger. I keep telling him its not that simple, but he doesn't listen. He also is against give law enforcement military grade firepower. Again, I keep telling him that they need that firepower if police ever deal with a situation like the 1997 North Hollywood Bank Robbery where the two suspects had fully automatic, Chinese copies of the AK-47, a fully automatic HK-91, an AR-15 style rifle with armor piercing rounds and body armor while the police had only handguns and shotguns.Β

Three, the reason the second amendment exists is to defend our freedom against our own government. The mere notion that they even CONSIDER repealing it is the precise reason why we need it in place.
Four, machine guns have been banned for years. That didn't stop them from getting into the hands of people like the Crips, Bloods and MS-13. Your argument is invalid.

Let me explain why you're an idiot.
A: Nukes are w a y too valuable to use on citizens. They're built as a first-strike method against enemy countries.Β
B: Drones can be fooled, and shot down rather easily. Remember, the MQ-9 and RQ-4 aren't made of what fighter jets are made of, and are almost 5x slower. Besides, their weapons are meant to be used against armored targets, not dispersed militia.
C: Tanks are not foolproof. If you get Copper burning hot enough, it will go through basically anything.
Nukes, Drones and Tanks cannot perform house-to-house searches at 3 In the morning.
This is all based on the assumption that the military / National Guard / Police force will comply with these tyrannical notions.
Which they won't.
