[edit] Popular culture

The F-22 has been featured in numerous books, such as Tom Clancy's Debt of Honor (1994)[87] and Fighter Wing (1995)[88] as well as Clive Cussler's Dark Watch (2005)[89] and Daymon Andrews' The Sword and the Star: Temple Mount (2008).[90]

The F-22 made its major Hollywood debut in the 2007 film Transformers[91] as the form taken by the Decepticon character Starscream in addition to numerous USAF fighters that engaged during the initial and climactic battles. The movie crew was allowed to film actual Raptors in flight, unlike previous computer-generated appearances, because of the military's support of director Michael Bay. The Raptors were filmed at Edwards Air Force Base.[92]

The F-22 also appeared in Iron Man (2008) where two Raptors appeared in the film, in pursuit of Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man.[citation needed] During concerts in 2008, Billy Idol debuted "New Future Weapon", a song about the F-22 Raptor.[93]

Very good lines work! It's big enough. I think I'm gonna use it as a reference in my 3 D it.
Are the lines Hand- made or color scheme applied on existing blueprint?

Wow, in that case it's impressive! You might have very steady hands like a surgeon.

Do you have an original reference at hand? Because your raptor is the most detailed BP I've seen

If the USAF was smart, they would paint up a few F-22s up like this and go hunting for Eagles, Falcons, and even a few Lightings. Russia has the PAK-FA nearly ready to fly, and will boast a lot of the F-22s features.

This is a good low-light paint scheme, and it complements the Raptor's lines very well.

I'd be deeply afraid of any aircraft that an F-22 would be needed to use as a "stand in" aggressor for.

awesome paint scheme, though our older fighters would be hard pressed to get a lock on it.

yeah, but if it's an aggressor, then its used for training if I'm not mistaken? and actually if i recall right they had one F-22 versus a bunch of F-15's and such, and they didn't get a target lock on to end the simulation. they were really hard pressed to even see it. I'm talking training not real world situation, though should one occur, it would have to come down to training, and motivation. of which, sending their fighters up two by two only them to be knocked out of the sky by something they didn't even see yet might frustrate the hell out of them. it would be hellish, yet interesting to see for sure..

You do remember that contest correctly, it was a 12 on 1 engagement and if I remember right one of the eagle pilots later said the first time he knew the F-22 was there was when the Raptor did a barrel roll over him just as his computers registered him as a kill.
