a dual sided blade on a Katana interesting as the standard only has a very well made cutting edge and a dull edge for defense

By definition, the Katana is a "Japanese Backsword", which is always single-edged and curved.
The straight, 2-edged Japanese Longsword is known as a "Tsurugi".
However, this design more closely resembles a Jian (Chinese Longsword) from the Qin Dynasty.

Jian has no blood groove in it

a master in art of using Katana an its history that wiki sis from worst book out there on subject that wiki part been worked over so many times its off its from history book that was removed from collage for lieing or filling in blanks wrong
