Description

One of my last two beans as a guest artist! So sorry this is so late and the style difference between these 2 and tough puppy are so drastically different.
way to make yourself obvious art-block
Anyways, this here bean is titled for the fact that the pattern takes inspiration from a King/Cooper's Cheetah, yet it has a palette reminiscent of a snow leopard!

This will be an elimination based competition, where entrants are narrowed down as the rounds progress. After the first round ends no new entrants will be permitted, so considering that it is a simple prompt, it'll be open for a bit.

ROUND 1
For the first round I want you guys to write a phrase filled with oxymorons! There is no word limit but take note that concise is nice.
To keep things organized please post under THIS comment!

I'll be looking primarily for originality. It ends on October 22nd at 6PM EDT. Will add a countdown later on.

Please post your entries in sta.sh or repost/hide + reply to your own comment to update as necessary.
dA doesn't allow you to edit 24 hours after you post your comment.
-
Will have a finished adult transfer towards the end of the competition. Can be any age, though.
Currently working on bonus art to go with it.

Haven't heard of JBD's before?
Be sure to check out the group for more info!

Terribly sorry about the delay! There was a bit of a mix-up it seemed and I did judge this early last month. I had plans of doing a third round but after time got away from me and the holidays started coming around I decided against it.

Without further ado I'd like to announce Soriams as the winner !! Take good care if Medeia, should you still connect with her after all this time. I'll have an adult transfer for her done soon!

ROUND 2 ! Wow this is really late
For this portion of the contest, I want you to find me 3 interesting facts. They can be facts about
anything you'd like, whether it be about the world we live in, something outside of our
universe or something miniscule. The twist is I want it to in some way, relate to your character!

It can be connected to their interests or hobbies, their occupation or something they do frequently
in their daily life. You do not get to explain the choice behind your three facts!

ALSO. I realized I never posted a base form for this contest, so you're free to add it now if you'd like!

1: An example of tradecraft in action is the artwork of Robert Baden-Powell who, long before he founded the Boy Scouts, served as a military intelligence officer in the Balkans during the 1890s. In order to sketch enemy fortifications without attracting attention, Baden-Powell adopted the disguise of an entomologist. He made detailed sketches of butterflies and leaves that, on close scrutiny, were revealed to be maps of gun emplacements or trenches.

2: A cut-out is a mutually trusted intermediary, method or channel of communication, facilitating the exchange of information between agents. People playing the role of cutouts usually only know the source and destination of the information to be transmitted, but are unaware of the identities of any other persons involved in the espionage process. Thus, a captured cutout cannot be used to identify members of an espionage cell.

3: The most prudent of establishing rapport quickly is to mirror and match the most unconscious elements of a person’s behavior during communication, such as physiology and tonality.  Together, these two elements comprise an estimated 93% of our communication. For example, if a seated client uncrosses his legs and leans slightly inward while speaking, you should wait for a few seconds and then discretely adopt the same posture. Paying attention to just these two elements can make you most like the other person without their being aware that this is occurring.

o There is a program called "Beat the Heat" which aims to bring together the youth and Police Department. For just 25$, people can race against a modified cop car. They also go and build a racing car with high school students while educating and discouraging illegal behavior.
o The engine is entirely rebuilt every run (in a professional drag race), or every 900 revolutions. New pistons and rings, new rods, new rod bearings. Sometimes a new crank. The crew does this in about two hours between rounds.
o Unlike other big cats, cheetahs cannot roar. However, they can purr on both inhale and exhale along with sounding similar to a car's engine.

one) the oldest known recording of singing is 10 second clip of a woman singing a french folk song, “au clair de la lune”. this recording, made in 1860 is thought to be the oldest recording of the human voice. before this, the oldest record of singing was supposedly an 1877 recording of thomas edison singing a children's song.
two) most casinos are designed like mazes; made to be confusing and hard to navigate. this keeps people in them and encourages the spending of more money.
three) the largest origami crane is 256 feet and 6 inches tall!

1. Occhiolism is the awareness of the smallness of your perspective
2. Coffee beans are actually seeds, but we call them beans because they resemble just that, beans. They are also a fruit since they are the pits of a cherry-like berry that grow on bushes.
3. Most of the time Seasonal Affective Disorder (or SAD) begins in the fall and continues into the winter months, rather than during the spring or early summer.

The cheetah's near miss! Round 1It was raining sunshine when SmokeyCrystal came out of her home. She sniffed the air seeing it was one of those days again. She walked back inside after a vigorous, exhausting walk around the block. She took off her scarf and jacket hanging it lopsided on the rack. She took off her boots in relief due to how itchy they were inside. After settling down she drank from her cup of tea and watched her ridiculously favorite show that usually came on during the weekends. Her puppy ran up to her barking happily, came over to her in a rolling stop then jumped on the sofa licking her face as she laughed trying to calm down her pup. She put her cup of tea down as she rubbed her puppies head and got comfy with it watching TV til afternoon. Her phone rang beside her on the couch as she checked it lazily, seeing it was her boss she jumped up and realized she was having a minor crisis. She was late for work!!

A Cop with too much time and too many ticketsIt was a miracle, and damn ironic, that an ex-drag racer somehow got recruited into the Police and eventually ended up on traffic duty. Max, while being a man of the law, seemed to neglect the laws of the road either way. While he wished for redemption, this was not how he pictured it nor wanted it. He had piles of unopened letters that screamed at him, enough to make his ears ring, to pay his fines. However, they were too soft and pleading when he heard the whisper of tires screeching at midnight. Eventually, he reverted to his old ways. The undercover cop who was there to break the laws. In the light of night, he would rev his engine -the purr of a cheetah ready to run. The tires would catch and they would fly, with speed cameras flickering and catching blank number plates. Max is a cop. But he's the bad cop.

The ocean of flames burned cold as wind quietly howled past. Your transport came to a rolling stop and you opened the front door as it was your only choice. Behind you, the War of Life happily raged on, the unified apartness of the two sides showing how they are indeed alone together.

sorry if ive reused any, i havent read the other entries yet

silence and the song (jbd form)round one //
it was a deafening silence, the kind that carries a sweet sorrow along with it. the sad smile on her face was enough to show it, anyways.
despite the exhilarating woe, she kept her chin held high. after all, she couldn't just sit back and act like a big baby. regardless of what was happening inside, keeping things together was the only choice -- or, at least, the only worthwhile one. she took a deep breath, feeling the worry growing smaller, and let the bittersweet moment pass. she told herself, i just know that today will be awfully good.

It was early morning and Cassiel had woken up dead. His coffee machine finally kicked the bucket on him and he forgot his winter coat so the cold winter breeze felt like a punch to the face. Despite his sweet agony, the town looked awfully pretty this particular morning. It felt like he had stepped into a virtual reality. He felt alone in the morning crowd. People were scattered around making quiet clamor as they passed him. After walking a few blocks he realized he still felt like a walking corpse. He looked up and spotted the dull luminescence of a sign. It read "Mochi's Place". When he opened the doors to the coffee shop, there was a deafening silence as he got in line. He had a short wait but he noticed that everyone was trudging around like the living dead. "Rough morning here, eh?" The barista named Marina gave a small nod, she was weirdly normal in comparison. Once he got his coffee he walked to a window table and grabbed a seat. He took one sip and thought My, that is awfully good. After a few minutes the affect of his liquid food kicked in and the world filled with vibrant monotone. Sadly, his feeling of sweet agony was gone, but at least he was able to start his day now.

The cool warmth of the autumn sun wrapped around us, kissing our fur. We had left behind the colorful monotone of city streets behind as we traveled to the harvest festival. The crisp, damp air of the cloistered countryside hit me, and I smiled. With the soft white clouds moving lazily across a clear blue sky, I thought the day was perfect. Of course, it was in that moment that Steve chose to pipe up next to me, as always taking the most inopportune opportunity to share his lame opinions. “Oh this is wonderful! But don’t you think they could do with a tad less pumpkins and a bit more pumpkin spice?” he quipped, and for perhaps not the first time, I thought he was the most brilliant idiot I had ever met.
