Such (minimal) word as I have is that they're not picking up from the cliffhanger; to do so would be awesome for the diehard fans but not terribly sensible in any other respect, as they want to appeal to moviegoing audiences in general and those of us who know The Story So Far make up only a small percentage of that. So it makes me sad but I can't fault them for it.
What they are doing, I don't know.

I like the thought of changing the story, because not everyone knows of ReBoot and it will be neat to see it go in a different direction. (Whether or not we like it/the diehard fans)
Plus when they change things for the βBig Screenβ itβs not going to be what you expect. It's the same thing they do with books into movies...not always for the best. But I hope it comes out great.

My personal preference would be for them not to change any established details of the world (except perhaps to set a consistent timescale), but simply do a new storyline.
But maybe that's just me.

By the last season(4th) it kinda did. All I know is the characters are the same story has changed a little for the big screen.
