I will be making prints of this to sell at SacCon o7o/3rd Place in the SacAnime Winter 2012 Digital Art Contest
Has anyone seen the RWBY trailer yet? If you haven't....you should. It's pretty awesome. [link]
Anyway after watching it I just had to draw Ruby Q7Q I really love the style, design, and concept for c the character (red riding hood with rifle/scythe? IM SOLD) I can't wait to see the next 3 characters or for the series to come out!
I was going for a simple flat style like the trailer. I'm happy with how it looks. ovo

Nah yours is one of THE BEST!! I mean how many other people can say that Mont actually thinks their work is awesome and actually commented on it! Well, Ruby thus far is my top favorite..for more then one reason.
Mostly because, her weapon of choice is a Scythe, which normally is associated with death (Personally, I love any character that uses a Scythe). Also, red is one of my top favorite colors.
Though, I can't see what 'Black' will be like (as black is another top favorite color). I have I strange feeling I know what her weapon of choice will be, along with the other two.

I have some idea of what 'Black' will use for weapon and design but I'm still not sure about 'White' or 'Yellow' which makes me even more eager to see.

Hmm, I think I have an idea what white might be using. I think her
weapon of choice would be a sword based kind, though..I'm not
sure what kind. Yellow, I can't really say for certain. Not much
to go on with just a shadow outline of her figure.

Mmm probably...but it has to be like a SUPER SPECIAL SWORD to be able to even compete with gun-scythe
I also think maybe snow/ice powers or something
Yellow...hmmmmm in the outline it kind of looks like she's holding guns in her hands maybe or something that can be dual wielded. And the song from the trailer seems to hint at the themes for them so I'm thinking fire power for Yellow

I think that does make sense for White and Yellow. As the trailer
stated, "White is cold and always yearning." Which could mean that she had an icy personality and theme about her. The idea of Yellow
being a dual gunner also makes some sense as well.
As for back, it's rather hard to tell. Two things pop up in my mind
when I look at her outline with a quick glance. At first, I thought
that she would either be someone with bow and arrow, or possibly a whip based weapon. I can't really think of a weapon that would be best
to describe darkness or beast.
