I will be making prints of this to sell at SacCon o7o/3rd Place in the SacAnime Winter 2012 Digital Art Contest
Has anyone seen the RWBY trailer yet? If you haven't....you should. It's pretty awesome. [link]
Anyway after watching it I just had to draw Ruby Q7Q I really love the style, design, and concept for c the character (red riding hood with rifle/scythe? IM SOLD) I can't wait to see the next 3 characters or for the series to come out!
I was going for a simple flat style like the trailer. I'm happy with how it looks. ovo

I really like your Weiss, Yang, and Blake....but for some reason I don't really like this one so much even though Ruby is by far my favorite character. Everything is fine but the face just feels off to me.
Even then it's really well done.

I drew this after watching JUST the first RWBY trailer so it was before we got to see her personality. I thought she was going to be more serious XD
She's much more perky and fun than I assumed based on the trailer so if I could redo this I would QwQ

O that makes a ton of sense, I just started to watch rwby when they confirmed season 3 was happening and just marathoned the trailers, both volumes and most of the commentarys . But its did sort of show her as a sad little girl (that could kill giant wolfs) so good fan art for the red trailer.

This is, like I'm beginning to realize your art is wont to be, a very powerful piece of RWBY fanart. The rich, royal blue in the night sky, and the pale glow of the moon, perfectly contrasts with the black arms of the beasts dissolving into red petals. The raised claw almost seems to point to Ruby, as does her scythe's re-curved blade, and the length of its handle. You have a very powerful pyramidal structure going on in that respect, inevitably leading the eye up to Ruby. Right on.
