Maybe the two have been together for some time and they feel like it's been much longer than that, but they realized that they want to stay with each other the rest of their lives.
After a date, Kirishima could have taken Yomi to somewhere that's special to them. The two just play around and then go down to a flower field to rest and Kirishima makes a flower crown for Yomi. She smiles at this and places a flower in his hair and says something that causes him to blush and hug her tightly and protectively. Once he lets go of her he talks to her about how much he loves her and doesn't want to lose her. Yomi is happy at hearing that and tells him the same things. Kirishima then could get on one knee and show her a box and inside are two promise rings. He swears as a man that once they graduate the two would get married as soon as possible. He goes on saying that he wants to grow old with her and have a family. Yomi is overcome with emotion just cries tears of joy but says "Yes," through her tears and hugs him. The two cry happily for a while and wipe away each other's tears as Kirishima slides one ring onto Yomi's ring finger and Yomi does the same with Kirishima.
The two smile and embrace tightly. They separate and give each other loving and kind smiles knowing their futures together are bright.
