Description
Something I learned from the Incredibles: making a colour script (simplified thumbnails to focus on colour composition) of your production can really help getting insight and overview. As you can see; the meeting of the mermaid introduces colour in Marin's life.

Wow, this is absolutely beautiful! I find it amazing that you can make all sorts of compositions and lighting environments even in such tiny thumbnails

It's a challenge but very rewarding if it works.

i instantly saw the influence from the incredibles colour script without even looking at the note! i never was good at colour - and im always in awe at how people can choose a good pallet to use. is it particuly hard to do? like were the many revisions before you came up with the completed script?

oh yes. I spend a full month scripting. Changed the ending like three times and the overall tone changed a lot, even during the storyboarding.

Wow, man. Just awesome. You're so damn gifted.
In a perfect world I could wrangle you as a colour scripter for all my projects.

Well, if you have something really cool in the pipeline you can always ask me. Would be interesting to do a colour script for someone elses project.

Oh very nice :] There's a pixar exhibition being held in Melbourne that I only just went to see recently and this is very much in the Incredibles style :]
Sans very bold saturated colours xD
Love how glowy the mermaid is! :]

Very nice; the first thing I thought of was the Incredibles artbook XD A good idea, too - I'm sure if more production teams started out with a colorscript, they'd have much more consistent color schemes in their finished products. Keep up the good work!

A lot of animation (especially US) productions have limited artistic overview and graphic vision if you ask me.
It's something of a challenge.

Again, this is going to be great when it's finished!
A color script! That's an interesting idea, I can see how it would be a lot of help.
