I kinda wanna see the Rainbooms doing a tour of Equestria, travelling all the way to, say, the Court of Celestia to perform for her now.
But it would probably be hard for them to play instruments if they transformed into ponies who lack the appropriate digits. Plus there's the whole Doppleganger thing...

Then, they help everybody with the countdown. How? Pinkie Pie does the drum rolling while the rest of the Rainbows and the audience does the countdown until after they said, "One!, it will become a new year which is 2017.
