This one was done in my first quarter of college for my painting class. It took a rather long time to just do the simple background and at first when I had the background layed down, I did not think it would work with the leopard in the foreground. I think it turned out rather nicely. Actually this is one of my most favorite paintings. I believe it placed 2nd at the local state fair this past summer. The colors on this photo did not turn out as detailed and accurate as I would have hoped, but of course the original should always be better than any reproduction.I am considering putting up this painting for sale if the right bid comes in and i know I will be able to trust the buyer to treat the painting with respect. I do not always like to sell art as I feel like I am selling my soul when I sell my favorite pieces but I also feel I do dishonor to the pieces if they simply sit in a portfolio in the closet collecting dust and are not getting to be seen by anyone.
Piece is acrylic on canvas board 18 inches by 24 inches.

Stunning. I love the way the background is very minimalistic, with just a leopard (a very cool leopard) in the front. And I would donate my art, so I could feel it was going to a good cause, and people will see it still.

No words can describe the sheer beautiful nature of this painting, it looks so realistic. It looks as if the leopard is going to pounce from out of the painting!

Just gorgeous. What is all that in the background? It looks vaguely like a tree, and a cage... but I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, I love the contrast of the head with all that darkness, and it's got kind of a fierce, hungry look in its eyes... very nice.
