Description
The title is a tad bit obscure so let me explain. It seems so often our lives are tangled in trivial matters, arguments, and things that end the end just dont matter or shouldnt matter. Yet that does not make them any easier to deal with. This piece was done for several reasons, one as a means to escape some life stress and other work that I should probably be doing instead and secondly for my best friend/sister in the entire world Trish . Her life of late has been the epitomy of hell, its all the small things that add up to make your life a living inferno of flames. I love you girl and I hope the best for you in these hard times...and ya always know you have me to lean on. Its funny but ever since we became friends almost every cougar reminds me of her....and especially fuzzy little cubbies.So this one goes to you, I think your life and art has a lot of meaning and beauty. Just keep at it! I suppose that goes for all of us..sometimes we have to remember the simple good things in life to keep us going through the bad.
As for technical details. I wasnt going for true realism persay..just started painting and hoped it would turn out. I enjoyed this piece, was definetly nice R&R for the soul.
Prints: 8x10, 10$ US plus shipping. The print will NOT be watermarked.
I'm sorry for the watermark, my hands were tied, I had no choice due to some very inconsiderate people.

I like how it looks like the light is shining from the back, giving the soft little cougar warmth for her thick coat of fur. Very nice and very pettable and huggable looking!

and I love those bright blue eyes, looking with expectation
I think she looks more happy than she looks sad 
the only thing I could say about (what could (but doesn't need to) be improved) is that the rock could be a bit more detailed, but that's such a minour thing
This put a smile on my face, to see that little one sitting there, watching, eyes with expectation

The way you made the small lil cub stand out, especially of the eyes, really do remind you of the past we all once had. Unforuntatley It seems my childhood and innocence left me a long time ago...I may be 13...but...my innocence was stolen from me by life's ways...and my childhood...same thing....Very touching picture...I literally wanted to shed a tear for your picture...It makes me sad when I look back into the past...cause when I think about it now...Its very sad...v.v

Can you suggest as many really good drawing books as you can - it my birthday soon and im going to buy heaps of art goods. This is open to everyone; you can list books pencils, tools anything thatβs heaps good for drawing.

Hmmm good drawing books, well seeing as I don't have too many myself I can only point out a few good ones I know of. Encyclopedia Anatomica(AWESOME for human and animal anatamy..veerrry thorough!), The Illusion of life. (huge disney book with all kinds of info on animation and the like). Digital Fantasy Artist(I dont have this one but of what I have seen it looks interesting). The ART of series from Disney, for various films such as the Lion King and Fantasia 2000. Can be very useful for a variety of different things. Also I like to collect wildlife books, especially ones on Africa. They help quite a bit with not only anatomy but ideas for lighting/etmosphere/bgs etc. Pencils...I LOVE Prisma color pencils..best out there if you ask me. If you want a good eraser..tritip is good..I forget the brand name but its a triangle shaped eraser..I LOVE it. I like cutting them up into small pieces so I can erase in tight spots. Best eraser out there in my experience. Thats all I can really think of off the top of my head. Happy early b-day!

The meaning behind it seems to ironic, to see a cute little fluffy cougar kit sitting there, peaceful like. But in truth, the more I dwell on it the more it seems real and true to the picture. Your fur is amazing, Losmios wasn't kidding lol Someday, I hope my art will look likes yours.

Wow. This is just so simply amazing I am so out of my words. I'm afraid I may say something unclear. This picture mezmorises me, it is so beautiful. I love the eyes, they are so realistic, and it gives life to the whole picture. Plus looking into them gives more of an understanding. The shading and lighting are phenominal, accurate, and so eye-grabbing with the way you shaded it. The 'clumps' are so realistic just like a real wildcat would half. Every. Single. Fur. Peice. It's just amazing! The pose looks relaxed and there is some kind of curiousity/sadness in the cat's facial expression it looks to me. The mouth, the way you made the bottom lip have a shine like that makes it look even more realistic. I absolutely LOVE the way it kinda has the lighting 'behind' the kitten. It brings it out more. The paws are beautiful, too, the way the pads are shown, and there are fur peices there to show that it is bent. Really brings out the picture. I really do like the arms, the tufts of fur on the arms are really neat, as so the ones on his chest really bring out the life-like features. This looks so much like a photograph, it is so... just absoultely beautiful... I love the rock too. The texture is also just SO realistic. His shadow on the rock even adds so much more. How many times am I going to say this is simply like a photograph realistic?! The background the way it is blurred adds more focus to the cat. Adds as if we're just focusing more on that than anything. I just... love the little guy's face, it is so adorable, I love young cats so much... The whole picture is full of essense and emotion and beauty... Yet another masterpeice from one of my favourite artists! You have so much talent to do this, makes me want to meet you so bad....
